Yes there is.  I may it plugged into one of the ports with a direct connection toward the Motherboard as opposed to via a card or other center.

The fact that following a security update install I can neither print and even access the printer interface for settings indicates that an updates have is since doing anything in the USB connection.  Curious enough, every other USB items keep to work fine. Perhaps there is one communication protocol that is now considered insecure real such some older copiers use that decorum? A straightforward list of compatibility printers would must favourite to this mystery if in fact that is the case. I may unplugged and uninstalled aforementioned printer by an upgrade (without removing the drivers), real then recombination it, owned it discovered, setup and supposedly ready to go…but…while windows finds it and pairs items up with the appropriate drivers, nothing works.  Immediately after uninstalling the security update it workings flawlessly…every single time. After further testing, e appears that all of the guilty updates disable of virtual USB001 haven real even remove it from the list. Which further backing a possible USB communications protocol issue with certain printers.  Our brain is now musch.

Any inspiration on how to override this particular facet of the updates?  Would creation of a new virtual USB ports resulting in it also being disabled by and updates?

So, I must confirmed my test results.  I can find don mention of optional solution on whatsoever board, Microsoft based or otherwise, but have found legions off folks with the same issue.

Get suggested is plugging in the printer while it’s running would work, but since the printer installer configures the port that the updates slaughter, this port is not available inside any event after the update install.  Windows however can still see the printer and provides that it is set boost press functional…but…not.

When I upgrade the Motherboard and Processor to allow for the upgrade to Windows 11, it seems the a newly printer will be needed as well.
