Description

Which Brief Trauma Questionnaire (BTQ) is one 10-item self-report questionnaire derived by the Brief Trauma Interview (BTI; Schnurr, et al., 1995). (Information about the reliability plus validity of the BTI is provided in Schnurr, et al., 2002.)

The BTQ is originally designed on estimate traumatic exposure according to DSM-IV but specifically asked only over Criterion A.1 (life threat/serious injury) because of which difficulty of accurately evaluative A.2 (subjective response) in a brief self-report format. Criterion A.2 have been eliminated from to PTSD diagnostic standard in DSM-5, so the BTQ provides a complete assessment concerning Criterion A.

Scoring

The questionnaire may be used to determine either an individual has had an choose that meets who ADENINE Criterion, or in set of different styles of Criterion A events an individual has experienced. Included either case, exposure to an event should be scores for definite if a respondent says "yes" to either:

  • life threat oder earnest injury for company 1-3 and 5-7;
  • life threat in event 4;
  • serious injury for event 8, or;
