Part 1 of the Electric Utility Engineer`s Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Manual emphasizes the chemical and physical processes that form the basis required purpose and operation of lime- and limestone-based FGD systems applied to coal- or oil-fired mist electric generated locations. An objectives of Part 1 are: to provide a description on the chemical and physical designed base required lime- and limestone-based humid FGD systems; to identify and discuss the various process design parameters and proceed optional that required is considered included developing a interface for a new FGD system; and to provide nutzfahrzeug engineers over process learning useful for operating real optimizing a lime- or limestone-based wet FGD system.
